I try to eat healthily and look after myself on the inside. I'm not allergic to lactose, however, if I can avoid drinking cows milk, I will. This rice milk called 'Rice Dream', is so sweet and delicious. Having it with porridge, as I do means that you can't tell the difference between this and regular milk. If I am having it as a drink, I mix it half and half with Oh Go coconut water ( I think that is what it's called, it comes in a white and green carton). Anyway, together it makes a really nice combination. I usually add coconut water to a green veg and berry smoothie to amp up the sweetness, mmm, delicious.
Flaxseeds are a great way of boosting the amount of nutrients you take from food by adding one or two table spoons of this to your breakfast of when making pancakes/baking. I add these milled Flaxseeds with cocoa and berries to my porridge in the morning, it makes it so tasty and I feel happier because I know that I'm being good to my body :). I bought the rice milk and flaxseeds from Holland and Barrat and the coconut water from Tesco. X
